The Park is a recently converted 12-bed step through rehabilitative facility set in the beautiful grounds of South Gloucestershire. We house adult males aged 18-65 with a mental health illness, the service's core philosophy is the promotion of independence, health and social recovery through bespoke rehabilitation and care/support planning for these adults.

Role Purpose

As The Park’s Clinical Lead, you will be expected to provide support, guidance and leadership to an innovative and compassionate clinical team.  You will be expected to work in partnership with The Park’s Registered Manager and therapeutic team to deliver a recovery focused clinical and therapeutic offering to male adults (aged 18-65) experiencing complex mental health difficulties using a wide range of bespoke care planning and risk management strategies.

Your team will be comprised of both nursing and front-line support staff and you will be expected to lead and continuously develop the clinical offering ensuring that the service’s values and visions are encapsulated and embedded into clinical practice and that person centred planning is integral to the clinical offering.

You will be based in the South Gloucestershire area and will need to be able to drive, The Park location has free onsite parking.  We also provide free home cooked meals whilst on shift. 


This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week on a rota that includes days and nights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery, action and review of Clinical Care/Support Plans using recovery focused strategies

  • Work collaboratively with service users, carers, internal and external stakeholders and take an active role with cross agency working

  • Assess risk and contribute to the development of robust management strategies in line with positive risk frameworks and guidance

  • Understand and abide by all policies, procedures, legislation and guidance related to clinical practice

  • Ensure accurate, robust and complete documentation of all records

  • Maintain and improve knowledge of mental health illnesses, sections and strategies for rehabilitative outcomes

  • Actively participate in multi-agency working i.e. Safeguarding, MCA, DOLS processes ensuring service users are central to the process and measures implemented are least restrictive

  • To manage budgets and resources to deliver high quality rehabilitative support solutions

  • Have knowledge of relevant legislation, local services and resources.

Other Requirements 
  • The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS application

  • Access to an efficient form of travel.

  • Able to work unsociable hours

About You
  • Registered General or/and Mental Health Nurse with a Valid NMC Pin

  • Effective interpersonal skills, able to build effective relationships with colleagues, service users and external professionals.

  • Good knowledge of the most up-to-date clinical practices

  • Effective Crisis Resolution.

  • IT Literate – able to effectively use Excel and Word, willing to learn specialist software.

  • Proven knowledge and understanding of support and rehabilitative needs of service users.

  • Proven knowledge and understanding of mental ill health and ability to develop recovery focused strategies

  • Knowledge of positive risk management framework

  • A positive and inclusive approach to life

  • Be resilient and able to cope with challenging situations

  • Be honest, innovative, organised, flexible, result-driven and resilient

  • Able to evidence continued professional development

  • Knowledge of legislation and guidance related to clinical practice and governance (including CQC Regulations)

  • Knowledge of Safeguarding Procedures and Reporting protocols. MCA (Mental Capacity Act) and DOL's (Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards), Pharmaceutical Guidelines and Practice

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience of clinical practice post qualification in the community, rehabilitation services or acute inpatient settings
